Our Programs

MSLDC’s united team currently consists of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants and Child Development Specialists who have education and experience relevant to working with all age groups. MSLDC is currently networked with outstanding Physical Therapists and Occupational Therapists.

Our team specializes in treating children and adults who have autistic symptoms, speech and language delays and/or disorders, developmental delays and/or disorders, feeding and swallowing difficulties, vocal pathologies, fluency disorders, traumatic brain injury, motor planning and programming difficulties, a variety of genetic syndromes, and, the deaf and hard of hearing population.

MSLDC offers the following programs and services listed below to children, adults and their families.

Speech Therapy

Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are licensed and certified professionals who provide consultations, assessments, evaluations and therapy to children and adults who have difficulties in communication, language comprehension, language expression, voice disorders, resonance disorders, fluency disorders including stuttering, aphasia, apraxia, selective mutism; and, feeding and swallowing difficulties. SLPs serve children and adults who have congenital and acquired speech and language difficulties.

The SLPs at MSLDC incorporate augmentative and assistive technological devices to help children and adults learn, relearn, and communicate. We take careful steps and document each progress the patient makes.

Child Development

Child Developmental Specialists (CDSs) are professionals who have a BA/BS or MA/MS in child development, psychology, education, communication disorders, counseling, or any other related field. If the CDS does not have a degree in child development, s/he must accrue 12 units of child development coursework OR a minimum of one year experience in a field of early childhood or preschool activity.

Our CDS provide consultations, assessments, evaluations, and therapy to children who have developmental delays and difficulties in the areas of cognition, communication, social-emotional development, physical development, and adaptive skills. The goal of our CDS is to help developmentally challenged children in all the areas in which they are having difficulties.
